Travel Abroad
Our mission is to make water polo accessible to the youth of North San Diego
County so they learn the benefits of hard-work, team-work, and camaraderie; as
well as to raise the level of water polo being played in our area as to benefit local
high school programs.

NSD Stars has taken teams to the following locations for water polo
tournaments:  Hawaii, Mexico, Florida, Seattle WA, Albuquerque NM, and
Northern and Central California.  This year we are planning:
Spring Siesta Tournament in Seattle, WA April 1-4, 2008.
National Junior Olympics in Orange County, CA in July and August.
Maui or Oahu for the 16u/18u girls teams in July or August
And a trip to the Pan Pacifics Tournament in New Zealand with a stop in
Melbourne, Australia for 18u boys (team full).
NSD STARS WPC
Teams
We offer the following levels of water polo for athletes to play on:
10u mixed (Waterbugs): for 8-10 yr olds with basic swim requirements and
minimal outside competition.
12u boys & girls: advanced 10u's and 11-12 yr old beginners train to play
against outside competition.
14u boys & girls: training geared more toward competition on a regular basis,
and preparation for high school level water polo.
16u boys & girls: training geared toward raising the level of play to a Varsity
High School level.  Regular competition at the local, regional, and national level,
including travel for the highest level athletes.  Try-outs required to make travel
squads.
18u boys & girls:  training geared toward playing against the best competition
available, at the local, regional, and national level; in order to prepare athletes
for college water polo. Travel opportunities for the highest level athletes is
available.  Try-outs required to make travel squads.
